My dear friend!

I could have started by stating how cruel the teenagers’ world is, but I won’t. You know that very well yourself. You know that you are special, that many reject you just because they are afraid of being rejected themselves, they are afraid to be themselves. You are really courageous, if you stand up for your right to individuality, but sometimes even the strongest of people can’t take it any more. Continue reading It will all change for the best

If I do not support you, who will? I am your mother and I don’t care who you are happy with.

Dear Children-404!

I am 50 and I could be your mother.

I have three daughters, and though I have always only loved men, I have never hidden the fact that somebody may fall in love with someone of their own gender from my children. It is not bad, it is not funny, it is not sad, I used to tell them, it just is, that’s it. I replied like that to questions they asked of me. I never denied that a couple of our male friends are exactly that – a couple, rather than just good friends, as everyone around us thought. Continue reading If I do not support you, who will? Love knows no gender and age

rosie1

When I was a little girl and saw negative attitudes towards same-sex love, I used to ask my mum, “Why? Aren’t they the same as us?” The answer to that was, “You’ll understand it when you grow up.”

I grew up and haven’t understood it yet. How can you condemn love? If two people are happy together, is it really your business?

CHILDREN 404. We exist. We are with you.

CHILDREN 404. We exist. We are with you.
CHILDREN 404. We exist. We are with you.

Here are two messages from two girls:

I don’t have an interesting story to tell. I don’t even know whether I’ll keep living as LGBT or whether I’ll bring up children in a heterosexual family. In any case, it won’t happen any time soon. Right now all I know is that we exist and that we aren’t alone.

It’s sort of like alcoholics anonymous, isn’t it?

My name is Darina, I am sixteen years old and I am a lesbian.

It’s sort of like alcoholics anonymous, isn’t it? It’s kind of sad…. It’s also really sad for me to read the stories of my peers, who are subjected to violence from society. Continue reading It’s sort of like alcoholics anonymous, isn’t it?

How can I turn someone gay? What can I say?

How can I turn someone gay? What can I say? ‘We have no rights, everyone hates us. Let’s unite! You can live in my little hell and listen to Madonna!” Jason Stewart, American actor, born 1959.

‘We have no rights, everyone hates us. Let’s unite! You can live in my little hell and listen to Madonna!” Jason Stewart, American actor, born 1959.

I’m only 16 years old.

Some people think I’m just a child, who can’t think for themselves. But I know more than many adults do. People are used to containing themselves within certain frames and they are scared to look out from them. If something doesn’t fit into the frame, then it’s ‘unacceptable’.

Children are playing Gestapo in the Runet

Having formed groups based on their sexuality in social networks, teenagers declared a war on each other in reality.

We want to tell you a story.

A story about our children.

The children we don’t really know.

They put it this way themselves: ‘We are invisible. We are not seen. We are not known, but we exist’.

Recently they have declared themselves to the world.

They invented a name for themselves – ‘Children-404’. The name was chosen by the analogy with the internet error 404. “It’s this thing which happens when you surf the web, and the search engine spits it out – the page is not found.”

Thus the country has found out about teenagers with non-traditional orientation.

Straight away a glove was thrown down at them.

by other kids, who called themselves ‘Children-1488’.

The story behind the struggle of two teenage gangs and who they, these children with a number, are – in the material by the newspaper MK. Continue reading Children are playing Gestapo in the Runet
